Effort counts for second chances!
KIDS: Second efforts get you places. Players that gave second efforts to win battles are like gold. Check out this clip by Detroit Red Wing (former Michigan Wolverine) Dylan Larkin's second effort to win this faceoff for the goal. This is ELITE. Great example of flat out wanting it.

Mark Millon
Oldie, but a goodie! For all my small players out there.
A Future-self Exercise for Young Players.
For the younger players digesting this weekly newsletter, here’s something to start integrating into your day-to-day.
I call it the Future-self, we will be using it in the arena of lacrosse but can be used for anything, ANYTHING, very powerful.
So, here is what you do, watch a video of something that you’d like to do, for our purposes it will be to show up at a nationally renown high school showcase and performing so well that you catch the eye of the camp’s coaches, fellow competitors and college coaches attending.
Here is a great documentary of what this showcase would be like: https://youtu.be/U1ZCdEy1s1Y?si=QcWotqupFdkY5R27.
Now, mentally, envision yourself being invited to the showcase, showing up with confidence, executing all the drills, competing alongside other all-Americans, communicating effectively with the coaches and performing in all aspects of the experience.
Repeat this exercise daily and there may come a point of not just wanting this desired outcome but the feeling of knowing that the desired outcome will befall you.
